That’s a function of how they’re trained though. They match human behavior patterns because that’s what they were designed and built to do, not because they actually think/process like we do or are of near equal intellect.

If the article is accurate it sounds like their “reasonable expectation of privacy” focuses more on the individual than the location of the recording. Or maybe it’s different for “intimate acts”.
Which can be true in other countries too depending on the situation, where ownership of the location doesn’t always allow you to record anybody within without consent.

I read the story in the link, and I still have no idea what they’re kick-starting.

I’ve started getting these. Its a little odd. The latest one I received told me it shipped “2 camera and 1 kitchen item”. The camera items were a baby monitor and a mount for the baby camera and the kitchen item were coffee filters. So I guess it’s accurate but kind of a useless description.

Lee Child’s series has its good books, but there are a LOT of books that follow the same pattern and have the same formula, and it just gets boring. I like it when Reacher is crafty or does something truly unique. I think Lee child could’ve had a much better (albeit much shorter) series if he stuck to those unique moments and stories, and stayed away from the formulaic ones that you know exactly how they’ll play out.
it depends on the type of person, I feel like. My company has offered those adjustable desks since before COVID. If you walk through our office you’ll always see at least a few raised up. Most people prefer sitting down, but you’ll see enough people getting use out of these that they definitely have some benefit.
