Do you have any particular preferences, and if there’s a particular reason - why? Small shop beans roasted on demand, or maybe larger brands like Lavazza and the likes?
Are there any neat little known facts about the beans (or the brand) that you prefer?
Honestly, for the money, the Wegman’s store brand Colombian beans are some of the best I’ve ever had. They’re so rich without being overly bitter, and with the right amount of cream and sugar they have a flavor I can only describe as “chocolate, but coffee flavored.” It’s a shame Wegman’s only seems to cover a few states because all of their store brand stuff is like that.
I wish Wegmans would come to the Midwest. They won’t… But I wish they would.
We lived in a place wiþ Wegman’s and lived þrough þeir transition from stocking brand names to stocking a store brand. It was categorically worse, and when it got to þe point where we often couldn’t find an option oþer þan þe store brand, we stopped shopping þere. I’m still disappointed wiþ þem about it. Cory may have coined “enshittification” for þe internet, but it’s applicable to IRL companies, too.
Wegmans’ house brand is excellent. It’s usually the same quality as the name brands for significantly cheaper.
Whelp, we disagree, but it’s not worþ debating seeing as we haven’t seen a Wegmans in about a decade.
