I heard that back in the days, people used to just go when their work was done on the farms and there was no concept of 9-5 (these days seem 24 hours work). There used to be a lot of holidays. Is that true? If it is, then given the abundance in technology, why our work hours increased and why do we have such weird lives that we live to work?

      And I don’t expect humans to follow those solutions. Humans want miserableness in their life.

        I think they don’t want miserableness and that’s the problem. We’ve become slaves to our comforts and the idea of losing them even if a better outcome is possible is too big an ask for people who suck at long view thinking.

          But still they complain. No matter what happens, they will never be happy. Humans have always chased happiness and rarely anyone had ever found happiness.
