    Not if the game you bought on a disk is linked to your Playstation account and requires an online connection to play, which the majority of games do these days. The disk is really secondary to that.

      Those are pretty arbitrary requirements only put in place to stifle second hand sales, pulling physical discs entirely makes sense when they’ve already done that. But both requiring the game to be linked to your account and an online connection to play is already bullshit and something people have been complaining about for years.

        Exactly, but as long as those measures are in place, not getting a piece of useless plastic is irrelevant.
