I don’t drink instant so I’m not sure, but if you live in Canada, I’ve heard good things about PC instant coffee, at least for the price. I’ve also heard of specialty roasters making their own instant, that’ll be more expensive but definitely will taste the best. I have no idea which ones make it, though.

There’s a superstore nearby I can check out. Metro only had Nescafé, Tim Hortons, and Illy, so we went with Illy.

I’ll also check if baby roasters do it, but I know the freeze dry game has gotten more sophisticated in the heat couple decades so no idea how much investment is involved from the roaster.

      Thanks!

Most/many mid-sized roasters use a white-label manufacturer to make their instant. A company in Pennsylvania called Swift does for many. Intelligentsia and Verve use them, for example, and both get good reviews.

Happy to help! I hope you find something you enjoy. If you ever think of it, come back either to this comment or make a post talking about it, I’m really curious what good instant options there are available.
