Homeland Security officials have urged disaster response staff at the Federal Emergency Management Agency to avoid using the word “ice” in public messaging about the massive winter storm barreling toward much of the United States, according to two sources familiar with the directive.
Is no one going to point out the dystopian nature of DHS telling FEMA not to warn people about ice while expecting inclement weather because they’re afraid of how it will reflect on ICE’s gestapo tactics?
They could just rebrand the agency so its acronym no longer coincides with something unrelated
