I think it’s less that theyre stupid and more that it’s literally been designed to be an addiction machine. And the average person isn’t consuming media from other sources because at one point, things posted on the addiction machine came from multiple sources. They just missed the subtle changes over time. It’s by design and it’s evil.
This is fine regardless of section 230, no law generally prohibits any removal of information you’re hosting. In USA that rule only means that talking some actions of removal doesn’t incur liability for that which you failed to remove.
