The move was to self-host storage. I moved my drive backups to a NAS and now it doesn’t matter how much storage the phone has. It can send anything I want to conserve or fetch whatever I need to use. It is a phone, it’s biggest strength is mobile connectivity, so it doesn’t need to have all the storage on device. Plus I can upgrade the NAS as needed and use it for other stuff.
