Gaming. I’m in my 30s and the 30s was the age bracket I’ve heard where few can carry on gaming through, because it has a tendency to die here. I piss away so much time doing other things that gaming just takes a backseat. I’m not even married or have kids.

They say the brain stops developing around 25-30. I figure that’s probably why people don’t feel much older than that mentally despite their chronological age being up to three or four times that.

I’m starting to think the deterioration of the body and the constant reminders that brings is how people gauge their age beyond that point.

Source: I now need glasses for distance and can no longer hear CRT TVs. I don’t heal as quick as I used to either.

The people who say the brain stops developing are wrong and I used to be one of them. The study that belief is based on didn’t look at anyone older than that, so the real conclusion is that the brain is still developing at 25 and data has not been gathered on older people.

As far as I can tell people are still capable of learning into old age, so the brain is likely still capable of development.
