The power of AI.
Long story short, AI initially pushed back on the ridiculous idea that drinking your own piss was a cure all, then these users figured out that adding words like ‘esoteric’ to their prompts let them direct AI to tell them what they wanted to hear.
Tbh article was too gross for me to finish. That’s all you get from me for a summary.

My stepdad was an early version of these people. He didn’t go to doctors and ate raw onions, a lot of them, because he’d heard on the radio that they were in the Bible as some kind of secret miracle drug that “Big Medicine” doesn’t want you to know about."
When he died, I went in with the hazmat crew to clear out the hoarder mess he’d made of the house. You couldn’t get to the stairs because he’d been buying online vitamins, boxes and boxes of them, and they were piled up there. He’d also opted out of Medicare.
I have a coworker who isn’t that bad, but I wouldn’t out it past her.
Her younger kids aren’t vaccinated…I dunno about the 18 yr old. She is one of those “I listen to my body” nutjobs because she read it in her FB mommy group or whatever propaganda outlets she subscribes to to
My uncle is final stages pancreatic cancer. She legit thought it was a valid suggestion to ask if he’s looked into invermectin and fenben because “research” shows it’s actually “curing” cancers. I legit stopped talking to her for a while after that. But out of morbid curiosity I did look into it and it’s a few sporadic wackos making unsubstantiated claims online.
