    I mean, you could say that about a lot of things.

    Grabbing all your groceries from the shelf? The store could also pay someone for that job.

    Loading everything in your trunk. Let the store pay someone so you don’t hurt your back.

    Putting away your cart. Yet again, someone could be paid for that.

    Why don’t you mind doing all these things for free, but do mind scanning your items?

      They will do that if I want them to. They will have it all ready to go.

      They will do this too

      Putting away your cart

      They send someone out to collect the carts, yes.

      Why don’t you mind doing all these things for free, but do mind scanning your items?

      If they want me to actually ring up the items and determine how much I owe them, I am fine with it, but I am going to charge myself whatever I want to. I mean it became my job, so I am going to do it as I see fit.

      Seems like the most reasonable part of the transaction they might want to be involved in.
