I feel the same about a lot of products, especially cars lately (in Europe). Huge brand symbols and some even light up. What’s next RGB? Having a huge brand logo on something feels… cheap.
Interestingly enough, the German big 3 usually offer debadging in terms of model and engine size as a free option and it seems most people take it unless they want to boast that it’s an M5 or something AMG. But that’s just to hide that they have a 2.0 diesel I think. Nobody offers their cars without the actual logo though, as far as I know. I suspect most buyers don’t want to hide that it’s a BMW, only that it’s a 520d with an M-sport package rather than an M5.

I feel just as passionate about plastic bags. I make sure never to take the correct one to the store I’m visiting.
