The US president later said he would “probably pass” and keep the name Atlantic, before saying, “We’re going to call it the American Ocean”.
Well, he didn’t rename Lake Superior; he’ll probably call the Pacific “Superior Ocean” and miss the fact that this means the one bit will be America and the other bit Superior.
Canada should agree to name a Great Lake after Trump, and invite him to a big, gaudy ceremony to rename it to “Lake Inferior”.
I suggest it not be a great lake; we can tell him to make it great.
I’ve got the perfect suggestion for “Lake Inferior” - it’s a currently unnamed lake below the Crypt Lake trail in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta.
