The reason I posted this is because it’s a topic that always interests me - I’m surprised that such a simple thing (how naked is it okay to be around your family and friends) seems to have no consensus.
I find it weird that the majority of society is in the “no nudity” camp but hollywood movies and television suggests women walk around in their panties all the time at home - are they just doing that for fanservice?
And I fundamentally quite agree with the philosophy that being more relaxed around nudity is helpful for cultivating an attitude of less shame. So I’m always interested to hear what people have to say about this.
As a nudist I’m comfortable being naked around pretty much everyone.
Even if they aren’t naked. A number of nude beaches I go to have a lot of sissies that are too scared to get naked, or creeps that are just there to look, and I don’t give a shit. I’ll be naked. They can be clothed. Their loss. I’ll tell you what, swimming and tanning naked feels a whole hell of a lot nicer than doing either with articles of clothing on.

My husband made a comment once that I look the same dressed and undressed, nothing hiding, good or bad. I guess anyone who sees me in clothes would not be surprised by how I look, and I did grow up around swimmers, dancers, did some modeling, you get used to it. I am pretty comfortable naked.
My kids come in when I am getting ready for work (I don’t put on clothes until my hair and skincare, sunscreen, etc. are done) and they don’t care if I don’t have clothes on. My mom and dad were the same way. It doesn’t work in the other direction - I didn’t like being not dressed around my mom and my kids do not, it’s a one way comfortable and I guess they will be the same with their kids.
I don’t have friends I, like, hang out naked with but would not be bothered changing in front of them.
