    The idea of not “bothering the rest of us” seems inherently flawed. They are someone’s offspring, sibling, neighbor, coworker, a voter, etc. Having folks in our communities be so isolated isn’t healthy for a functioning society

      Not everyone, just anyone who thinks they can find love in AI.

      Nobody’s going to miss their desperate attempts at “possessing a female”.

        I’m not sure the people who think they can find love in AI are the people who fall in love with AI. Same principle with cults-- virtually no one joins a cult knowingly. They’re just looking for connection and find it in a weird place

          Nobody goes looking for a cult, but those who end up in a cult were searching for SOMETHING. Family, friends support, they are looking to fill a hole, just like someone who would turn to a chat bot for support, fill that hole and not realize they have fallen in love with their reflection.
