I understand that people in Korea look at me funny when at 38°C in the summer I order a hot cafe latte.
But I also look at them funny no when at -15°C they order a Ice Latte to go.

I like my coffee hot most of the time but I have enjoyed iced coffee. The main problem for me is it’s way easier to drink a lot more iced coffee than is good for me than it ever was to drink hot coffee at and unhealthy volume.

as a Brazilian, if you order an iced coffee there and it’s not a Starbucks or something, you might get some strange looks.

Hot coffee can cool down. Iced coffee gets diluted. I can reheat my coffee. You can’t reverse dilution. But to each their own. We all agree decaf is pointless.

I mostly drink hot, but that’s more a matter of convenience than anything. Hot coffee can be ready now, where if I want coffee cold I want coldbrew, which takes hours.

Also drinking hot drinks on a hot day is pretty normal in certain parts of the world, with some science to back up why; they make you sweat, which cools you off. It’s especially nice when you’re wearing a long sleeve shirt made of light fabric, hence the traditional clothing of a lot of desert nations.

Functionally, though, if you’re in a climate controlled building, who cares. Doesn’t matter if it’s -15 outside if it’s 20 inside. Take it how you like KT xD
