I took allergy shots for years, and I’m still doubled up on prescription and OTC meds daily. It’s not perfect, but it’s manageable now. So…

I switched a year or so ago. There was only so much bullshit from MS that i could stomach.

Truth in journalism laws need to come back. We’re moving toward a future where we can only trust what we see or hear irl. I need a way that i can trust a source.

I’ve been NC since i was 17, 22 years ago. She has that info and has tried to find me. That info doesn’t help her, but social media does. Even if i don’t really use it, i have friends who do. Then again, those old connections either fade away over time or become close enough that they know the story so that nothing gets back to her.
My brother is far from redeemable but sounds like yours is worse. One benefit I’ve found is that if everyone sucks, you can just go NC from the whole group without guilt.
I’m very glad that you see the world as i see it, that there are good people as well as bad people, and we can prioritize how we spend our energy. The quality I needed most was resiliency, and it sounds like you’ve got it. You’ve got this.

I don’t see it

As a child and in a religious college i studied the bible and came to know it fairly well. But i was already leaning away from religion in my early twenties. Then i took anthropology at a community college. Suddenly i couldn’t just accept that both science and the bible were vague enough to not contradict. I made a conscious choice that believing one meant leaving the other.
I’m sure there’s plenty of religious people who don’t know enough about their religion to know it can’t work.

I used to take naps in the server room.
