15 days agoI’ve taken to using horizontal bars on my laptop, since they either look identical or almost identical (depending on font) to emdashes. For comparison, — vs ― . they are encoded in unicode as u2014 and u2015, so are provably not the same.
41k new users in 4 days? Not too bad, but certainly not a mass exodus. Tiktok’s user base is quite large, although I don’t know the US specific user base size. It is a shame people don’t choose better alternatives though.
