So pissed; just found out about this Saturday, so I spent Saturday evening checking out the VPS providers, and Sunday moving everything over, re-importing data, dealing with DNS caching delays, etc. I had other plans this weekend. I was a fan of DO, even have DOCN shares, which I’m going to dump.

Well, at least, if everything works out with OVH, I’ll have double the RAM and be paying less than half of DO.

Yep. A lot of car models or body styles carry stereotypes to varying degrees of accuracy. But, whoever would buy one of those monstrosities fits a certain stereotype 100% of the time: someone that buys a CT is both a complete moron and devoid of any sense of morality. Stupid and evil.

I still buy music CDs, and rip them to digital media. CDs are a lot easier to rip to digital media, but vinyl is cooler, but I listen to local music mainly through strawberry media player (or USB stick in a car)

Yeah this weighs on my mind much of the time. We seem to be rapidly descending into neo-feudalism/dark enlightenment /whatever, and I think a lot of people don’t realize it. People giving Elmo money for cybertrucks or model Y with the light bar, voting red, making christo-fascist policies, etc. And a lot people don’t necessarily feel it yet. Some people have a higher salary than before the double salute incident, but those dollars don’t go as far as they used to. Plus global warming acceleration with AI and rolled back policies… Looking back, I think my generation’s future was already going to be troublesome, but with the choices of my own grandparents, some of my peers, and some powerful and evil people, these could be the best years of the rest of our lives.
