No doubt about it. Most editors have the same capabilities or better. It’s just when you use something for 40+ hours a week you know it inside and out.

Notepad++ is the one thing i really miss on linux. I use it daily for work and i just haven’t found an equivalent on linux.

14·1 month agoRant: I hate these fucking machines. Cvs installed them near me for their pharmacy. But of course you have to use the on-screen keyboard to type in your name and birthdate. Nobody in line. The machines are so frustrating to use. At least provide a keyboard.
How much runtime do you get out of the battery? Mine still has the original, runs about 1 - 1.5hrs.
Yup, i have a mid 2012 mbp with linux mint xfce and it runs great. My biggest complaint is the hardware support. Had to add a usb wifi dongle because broadcom chip was constantly dropping and the sleep wake takes forever and sometimes it wont sleep. But otherwise runs like a champ. I do kinda wish it would die so i could get a laptop without the sleep/wake issues.
