“Enhance users choice”. Even if I assumed good intentions, what the hell is a chatbot going to do??

Hardware alone is not a working computer. If you control the software running on your computer then that software is yours (like it’s your book on your bookshelf even though another person owns the copyright). If someone else controls your computer then that erodes your ownership of it.

I’d rather pay more money for a freer system but that option isn’t offered. Either I’m too niche or locking users down is more valuable than raw sales profit (or both).

I’ve not bought a console since they got internet and needed updates. Been Windows-free for a while too.
