Respect the honesty lol
Even if AI was not hot garbage the other [insert number] % of the time, would that equate to better material outcomes for actual humans? Not under capitalism, that’s for sure.
OP account is sus. Opened account 3 months ago to immediately cry wolf on GrapheneOS. Now a scam site (don’t bother opening. Probably safer not to.) Calling honeypot.
I’ve been in a carbonated bath before, although I think it was a light carbonation. Mostly the same, but if sat still for a while, your body turns white from the thin layer of little bubbles stuck to your skin. Pretty fun wiping it off and seeing a cloud of bubbles float up.
Symfonium really is so good, solver a bunch of headaches I was having

Oh my bad, swag!! I’m diving head first now, and have been reading a bit about BSD? I’ve heard cool things but also some… weird(?) things too, do u know anything about that?

Make the plunge my friend, u could dual lot TWO Linuxi instead ;)

Privacy isn’t keeping everything about your life secret from everybody. Its about having control over who in your life gets to know what. Its the pretext for honest communication. Extreme surveillance will lead to people self-censoring themselves to please the fascist state.
Gee, I wonder what the far-right thinks about letting leftists speak freely?
The conflation between a chud using mullvad vs using the profits from mullvad to fund a political party… Tf
“Why did I, a libertarian anarchist, support the Örebro Party (ÖP), which is neither, with a donation?”
shocked face

Competition?? Under capitalism?? Disgusting!!!

From what I read thru some of the devs posts and drama on Lemmygrad, hexbear, etc, it’s complicated. Like, not super important for 99% of ppl to care about. My takeaway at the end was, yes the devs and the mission for Lemmy (and federation in general) is an inherently anticapitalist, or at least anti-monopoly, venture. Many first adopters were infosec/IT folks, ppl who could help build and give feedback, ofc, and were also ideologically aligned/adjacent. Basically, devs said that for this platform to have a chance at growing and being an alternative to privately controlled platforms, it can’t just be a politics debate playground; they wanted, needed, liberals to join and make their own instances, and help it grow. Which is happening and good!
I suppose this is a PSA as to who is building the true (imo) private* free speech digital platforms. It’s not liberals.

I am in enemy territory /s
Yes they (we) can be annoying, no lie there.
But are folks aware of who is building Lemmy? Like, who the devs are, their goals, etc.?
Used to use Brave, but I read some shady stuff and hate the crypto. I’ve switched to Startpage, as far as I know they’re doing good and gets the job done for me.

I see your sentiment, and don’t entirely disagree, but if it’s at the whim of billionaires, I’d bet there’s no chance it’s because they want to see humanity flourish beyond this planet. And spacex wouldn’t be where it is today without tons of taxpayer subsidies.

Japanese thick white toast
Uggghhhhh, thanks for the info though
Shouldn’t be surprised, to be a CEO you gotta have a screw loose for the job
