The issue with things like Peertube is they are driven by ideology first, and content second.
So to enjoy the experience or the content, you have to already agree to the ideology. Sort of like NewsMaxx and all that stuff.
what people here forget, is a most of the big content platforms grew because they were non-ideaological and had lots of general interest content, you know, like videos of cute animals and sports clips.
An individual instance may be driven by some ideology… but as a decentralized collective of instances, there isn’t one governing ideology. It’d be super funny to have a pro-capitalism one… and it’s anyone’s right to create it or contribute to it if they want to.
Surely one of these instances allows videos of cats.
