I’m pretty sure most sites just ignore this at least I don’t trust them not to. You should use u-block and enable the proper privacy filters (it can block cookie popups too)
betterfox shows a good list of privacy filters to setup.
It’s blocked with the Vivaldi blocker, only sometimes still appears, but in this case with already your preferences.

Longer the text of the PP, less privacy in the service, always. Services with real privacy don’t need a long PP with a lot of legal jerga, they have nothing to hide. Best to scan the service with Webbkoll or Blacklight, Or Exodus (Android), there you see what they do with your data.

I’d like to think that there’s a disagree button in the “more” button, but I’m not holding my breath. As an aside, I’ve seen some (Guardian, for example) that let you disagree IF you subscribe for money. Pretty sure that’s gotta be illegal.

i don’t think that’s supposed to be allowed under GDPR, but making complaints is also time-consuming. i’d rather just leave those sites immediately after seeing there’s no “reject all” and make a mental note that their stinky site is unusable 🤷
I think it’s regional. Often you’ll see “necessary only” which, who knows what they consider “necessary”. If you have a adblocker, there’s typically a list for “cookie annoyances” you need to enable for some reason. If that doesn’t work you can always use the element picker, although that sometimes breaks the site. If that happens I just leave.

back in the late augts the data broker i worked for only used a tiny fraction out of all the scraped data because they didn’t want to spend all the money of data engineer salaries. i bet AI has ramped it into unthinkable overdrive.

If you use ublock you can enable privacy filters and popup blockers. If you don’t use ublock you should! (it’s really good)
I landed on a page last week that actually had a “No” button on the “Please disable your adblocker” popup. It just returned to displaying the page normally. Nice job, website.
My bad for being the ublock shill here. But ublock doesn’t get infected by “please disable your adblocker” popups.
Sometimes they get through the filters. But that’s what the element picker mode is for.
