    The opinion of anyone impressed by the function or output of a LLM enough to believe it is in any way adjacent to intelligence should be summarily dismissed, and ridiculed should they persist.

    Literally a Sophon (from Three Body Problem): actively derailing our science and consequently instilling distrust in the entire process. And ai wouldn’t be surprised if some former scientists have become so existentially disillusioned that they decided to off themselves
