I guess it is that everyone has been asked to give their input and some are “give up meat and drinking” some are “only eat meat and drink bourbon”.
So when someone feels inclined to say “no” to one of them it is not in the spirit of this post which is speak from your lived experience, not your preemptive judgement.
I guess. If the guy had said “I stopped drinking and eating meat” then fair enough. It’s just that the way it was written sounded like a command, so therefore “no” seems like an entirely reasonable response to me.
