      AT&T UNIXPC

I was gonna say that this was my favorite all-in-one, but then I remembered the mouse. And the keyboard is removable, so that’s, like, 2½ pieces?

your statement is kinda confusing but…

an all in one comes with a monitor, keyboard and mouse (typically), hence the all in one. if you’re just looking at the desktop part, that would be just a tiny/mini PC. it still comes with kB/m (typically)

Even if it comes together in the box, it’s still not all in one. It’s three separate parts that you have to connect together. If I buy a knife and a Roomba and they come in the same box, I don’t get an all in one murderbot. But a laptop is truly an all in one.

Hmm, I think it’s usually at least two fewer parts - monitor, compute, and speakers.

Also, some all-in-ones have touchscreens, so technically usable without a mouse/keyboard.

The only thing different from any truely All-in-One computer over a laptop I’ve seen is the size.

But the only actual all-in-one computers I’ve seen were iMacs or extremely old computers from the 70s. And I guess the iMac isn’t 100% becsuse it doesn’t also have a mouse and keyboard built in, like the PCs from the 70s did.

Not to mention those neat slide-out things that let you hold your drink. The ones that used to be called CD-roms.
