Isn’t that just a “how much do they yap” meter? A quiet person who lies can compulsively will have a lower number than a socially active person who tells occasional white lies.
Idea was presented as number of times they told the truth. So, if I say a thing that has technically two truths to it but is structured to be easily heard as a single truth/lie, then I can lie to you without being noticed.
Even if it’s a lie counter, suddenly you have a bunch of people saying shitty things to each other “because you would know if I was lying to you, so why should I bother?”
