They are probably stoic & logical & they eschew bullshit meaningless traditions. I like it. But I’m a girl with a big heart and I still cannot bear to be silent after somebody sneezes, but I agree it’s meaningless & old-fashioned to say “bless you,” so

I learned Chinese a few years ago and they say “Yi bai sui” or “may you live 100 years” after somebody sneezes. So I say that in english after somebody sneezes. “May you live 100 years.” That way there’s no awkward silence showing that I’m cold and heartless, instead I’m a compassionate educated polyglot 😜

They need a more realistic button: “Pay to enjoy it until it disappears with no warning”

Hi, I’ve just recently seen a post in which everyone was mixing up the spellings of prostrate & prostate.

If the woman is uncomfortable she can alter her path. I’ve been that woman before but have rarely felt uncomfortable enough to cross the street or whatever. I just keep walking and either ignore or give a pleasant nod to the man to let him know I’m chill and not scared and we’re two normal innocuous people passing each other.

Maybe twice in my life my spidey senses tingled and I changed my path and got out of there. Our instincts protect us.

Yes that’s exactly what I mean. It’s disingenuous for YouTube to be doing that, I mean in the grand scheme of things it’s a trifling matter, but it’s a bit of fuckery because algorithms & livelihoods are affected by this nonsense.

Yes my autoplay is always turned off. I mean when you’re on the home screen it automatically plays, on mute, and not full-screen, whichever suggested video is oriented in the middle of the screen. This isn’t something that can be opted out of.

I assumed they were already doing that. They’ve never been forthcoming in regards to what actually counts as a view.

2. Especially weird if I view videos from my own channel, on my end it seems to tally each time I watch my own videos, which isn’t supposed to happen.

3. And videos I never chose or clicked on automatically start playing as soon as I open the app or switch from “Me” to “Home.”

4. Or if one person watches a video multiple times, does youtube count each of those views? Because for YouTubers whose livelihood depends on likes & views & subscribers, YouTube needs to make sure a creator isn’t manipulating the system with bot farms or friends/family/paid losers to repeatedly watch the videos.
