I don’t think the GNU/Linux name is even correct anymore. The amount of GNU utils is not as high as it once were and there are so many other components that are important or even essential now that it is somehow unfair to even name GNU so prominently.

1·7 days agoOh it’s not annoying me. I just don’t want to learn see or speak the language. Since I moved a little further from the French border that is much easier.

1·7 days agoYes but a lot is also language change. Knight for example was just spoken with a K and a fricative at that time and place. The writing just wasn’t adapted to the changes in speech.

4·7 days agoFrench was my only choice for a second foreign language in school and I hated it. Such a weird language. They need a writing reform. Bordeaux is just comically bad. English could use a writing reform as well.

3·10 days agoNo I am alright. Scrubs Season 8 was the perfect ending. Bittersweet but fulfilling. It would have been a shame if they added another season after that. /s

6·10 days agoSo StarCraft had it figured out. Then companies unfigured it by adding things that maximize profit. Funnily enough very little of what they added real prevents self hosted multiplayer. It’s just more convenient the way they do it.

I feel you. When trying to paint I want to make an exact copy of reality because I can’t imagine what is the essential thing to make something recognizable as it. I can’t imagine it well enough in my head.
