first of all, you need to get a supervisor that will agree to take you, then you need to get in. having some publications or really anything that you can point to and say look i did that will help in both. recommendation letter or two will help. you will also need to make a project, or pick one from your supervisor. the latter is somewhat easier and sometimes enrollment limits don’t apply if your supervisor funds your studies from grant. you can get away with doing everything in english in poland, as far as degree goes

not every university has phd program, and there’s a fair bit of paperwork involved to get there, especially for abroad students, as everything has to be translated, confirmed etc. you’re probably looking at one of these universities: UW, UJ, PW, PWr, UAM, or UG. you WILL work your ass off
